Luca Bariga is a pseudo-merchant jerseyhead, found near the Downtown Olathe Public School after the activation of the Salt Threshold.
Battle[]
Wildly contrasting any other standard battle, Bariga asks Alex and Joel if they are interested in his ‘product’, requesting four mags for a sample. Should the player deny the offering, he will insist, prompting a Yes/No option for every round.
Should the player let him Feed them, it will remove Wary and heal a minimum of 160 HP, but guarantees Nasty, with a 20% chance of being Poisoned.
Beyond this, he never actually directly attacks. It is recommended to keep Bariga alive and allow Alex and Joel a chance to farm SP off of him by using Receding Stance and Load It In repeatedly for each round.
Strategy[]
Should you desire to use Twisty as an SP battery instead or you just want the EXP, Luca needs to be defeated with one big attack. Otherwise, he will begin healing himself immediately after being damaged.
If you want to end the battle quickly, use a volley of random attacks to weaken him and finish him off with Minor Iris, but this comes at the cost of 70 SP.
A cheaper way requires a little luck. Use Steady Aim to scare Luca and prevent him from healing and go in for the kill with Alex. Unfortunately, you are at the mercy of Scared's duration, so act decisively.
