Template:Enemy Richie Cheasedust is a character encountered on Garbage Island and fights Alex and his party after Roland's defeat. He is deeply infatuated with Roland Von Buckingham, being the only person on Garbage Island who feels positively about him.
In-Game
Richie Cheasedust is encountered directly before Alex's confrontation with Roland Von Buckingham, stating that Roland isn't a pushover. After Alex and his party defeat and kill Roland, he is immediately seen attempting to destroy their boat's tether. Alex has the option of pleading Cheasedust to stop hacking at the boat, or can tell him that "There isn't anything worth staying for",
The second response sends Richie into a blind rage, declaring his life isn't for nothing, and a fight will ensue. In Cheasedust's dying moments, he calls out for Roland to catch him.
The battle with Richie Cheasedust can be entirely avoided by the player should Alex plead Richie to stop what he's doing.
Strategy
Ritchie is only a moderate threat compared to Roland and he is harmless so long as he is disarmed. However, he is not to be underestimated while he has Rage and Armed as he is capable of One Hit Killing any member of the party should he score a critical hit.
Open with a Disarming Chop, Gun Toss, and Guard from Alex, Joel, and Georgy respectively (he'll be suffering from Withdrawal). Ritchie is prone to Crying or Spooked, the latter of which allows Joel to apply Scared with Passionate Threat, when he is Disarmed. Set up a Taunt with Joel and Single Out Ritchie, Alex will finish with combos and random attacks.
